\nLithografie, met handmatige omtrekinkleuring<\/p>\n
John Gellatly was in 1850 een graveur en lithografisch drukker, gevestigd op 26 George Street in Edinburgh, en woonde in 14 Scotland Street in dezelfde plaats.<\/p>\n
Op de rechterkant van de kaart is een waterweg ingetekend, die aangeduid wordt als ‘Canal’. Het trace volgt deels de Zuid-Willemsvaart en voor een ander deel de Noordervaart. Waarbij de laatste, door Napoleon gepland als ‘Grand Canal du Nord’, uiteindelijk maar zeer ten dele is aangelegd. Zie afb. 2.<\/p>\n
